Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the RN.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, serving as a compassionate presence during their stay.
- Document patient care plans, updates, and incidents accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Move and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics and assistive devices to prevent injury.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for patients and staff at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and family members regarding patient progress.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Candidates with no prior CNA experience are welcome to apply; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Valid Ohio CNA license (if currently licensed) or enrollment in a CNA training program.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use EMR software.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred (can be obtained during training).
