Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care by assisting with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, using wheelchairs, walkers, or transfer boards safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare patients for medical examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring their comfort and privacy.
  • Document patient care activities, dietary intake, and changes in behavior or condition accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in patient rooms and common areas.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy and rapport.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs as needed.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.
