Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Hygiene Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitary, and organized according to healthcare standards.
- Communication: Communicate patient changes in condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) and healthcare team immediately.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs.
- Assistance: Provide mobility assistance and transfer patients safely using proper body mechanics and equipment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Michigan State CNA License.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred; CPR certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
