Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, or surgeries as directed by medical personnel.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs, stretchers, or mobile beds.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required and in good standing with the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor and a strong commitment to patient safety and dignity.
