Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately.
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and resident preferences.
- Document daily care activities and changes in resident condition in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents and staff.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA License (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with lifting patients.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor towards elderly patients.
