Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring to wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals while monitoring dietary restrictions and assisting with feeding.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Indiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
