Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance, to residents in accordance with care plans.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with mobility and transfer of residents using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the nursing staff regarding changes in resident condition or needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents and staff.
- Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA Certification (Florida State License) required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or nursing home setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.
- Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
