Responsibilities
- Monitor Patient Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Daily Living: Support patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and feeding, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and reports changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Environment Safety: Ensure the patient room and environment are clean, sanitized, and safe at all times.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs and assist during emergency situations as trained.
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Tennessee.
- Entry-Level Eligibility: Completion of an accredited CNA training program is required.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
