Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, transferring them safely to and from beds, wheelchairs, and walkers.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by licensed nurses.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for patient advocacy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
