Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Clinical Assistance: Prepare and administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff and document all treatments and observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Patient Comfort: Implement comfort measures and assist with range-of-motion exercises to promote patient mobility and well-being.
- Communication: Serve as a vital link between patients, families, and the healthcare team, reporting changes in patient condition promptly.
- Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-free environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold a valid and active Louisiana CNA Certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- License: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: A genuine passion for patient care and a patient-centered approach.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift, and assist patients as needed.
