Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and verify personal and insurance information accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking and recording vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature).
- Perform basic clinical procedures including phlebotomy, EKGs, and vaccinations.
- Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
- Manage and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA compliance.
- Order and maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA, RMA, or MA (National Certified) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with varying shift schedules.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Reliable transportation and a professional appearance.
