Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, mobility)
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff
- Assist with medication administration under supervision
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments following infection control protocols
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Support emotional well-being through patient companionship and communication
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams for coordinated patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active New York State CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year recent CNA experience in long-term care or acute settings
- BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Valid NY State driver's license (if transporting patients)
