Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care: Provide assistance with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) throughout the night shift.
- Medication Assistance: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the nursing staff under supervision.
- Environment Maintenance: Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes and needs to the charge nurse and interdisciplinary team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and care logs.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Texas State CNA License (required).
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, patience, and a compassionate demeanor.
- Availability: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM).
