Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate any changes in a patient’s physical or emotional condition to the registered nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary needs and restrictions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment and common areas.
- Document patient care activities in electronic health records (EHR) as required.
Qualifications
- Current, valid CNA Certification (Arizona State Board of Nursing approved).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn electronic charting systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting patients and standing for extended periods.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
