Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and transfers to and from beds, chairs, and wheelchairs.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and requests for assistance to ensure safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Document patient activities, changes in condition, and care provided accurately in electronic health records.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff and healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and families.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull patients weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and privacy.
