Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist residents or patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations.
- Assistance with Mobility: Safely transfer and move patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and care plans as required by state regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist with restorative activities.
Qualifications
- Current CNA License: Must hold a valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Indiana.
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Compassion & Empathy: Strong desire to help others and ability to demonstrate patience and understanding.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in monitoring patient conditions and documenting care.
