Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and mobility needs, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by licensed nursing staff, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas.
Qualifications
- Current and active California CNA License (required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
