Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking, vital signs, and charting in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist providers with minor procedures as directed.
- Administer medications and injections according to strict protocols and safety guidelines.
- Manage patient flow in the clinic, ensuring a smooth and courteous check-in and check-out process.
- Maintain medical records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations.
- Handle patient inquiries professionally and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure the exam rooms and equipment are cleaned and sanitized in compliance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
