Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding assistance.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and timely.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and care plans.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Assistance: Assist nurses with procedures, transfers, and preparing patients for examinations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current State of Tennessee CNA License (or eligible to obtain).
- Certifications: Current CPR and BLS Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a nursing home or hospital setting preferred but not required for immediate hires.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical assistive tasks.
