Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Provide basic wound care and assist patients with mobility using wheelchairs or walkers.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition to the registered nurse or charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and staff.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas or activities.
- Administer medications as directed by the nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and active Florida CNA License required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and a positive attitude.
