Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring their comfort and dignity.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Medication Assistance: Support patients with medication reminders and administration under the direct supervision of registered nurses, strictly adhering to medication safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and care plans using electronic health records (EHR) systems, documenting daily observations and shifts.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic care and address patient concerns.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies, following established safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to infection control policies and hygiene standards to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all residents and staff.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid State of Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not mandatory for high-potential candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, move, and assist patients of varying weights; must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse populations.

- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to adhering to a consistent work schedule.
- Training: Completion of basic life support (BLS) certification is a plus.
