Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vital sign monitoring, and medical history documentation
- Assist physicians with examinations, minor procedures, and diagnostic tests
- Administer medications, injections, and immunizations per provider protocols
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and sterile supplies
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications professionally
- Coordinate lab specimens and ensure timely processing
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory or hospital setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Athena, or similar)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
