Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature, accurately.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to prevent bedsores and ensure patient safety.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by registered nurses and physicians.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required in the state of Tennessee.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred.
- Strong compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift and move patients as required by the job.
