Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer them safely using assistive devices.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition or behavior to the Registered Nurse immediately.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient charts.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in New York State.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina to lift, stand, and move for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor and a patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
