Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and patient needs.
- Document patient care activities and updates in electronic medical records accurately and timely.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests for assistance.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California State CNA license and certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong compassion, patience, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
