Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, accurately recording vital signs, medical history, and symptoms.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Draw blood, collect specimens, and perform basic laboratory tests.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage referrals.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
- Handle administrative tasks such as updating Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic EKG certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote, or hybrid work environment.
