Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or using walkers.
- Prepare patients for meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Document patient care activities, changes in patient conditions, and administered medications.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current state CNA certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
