Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, including transferring to and from beds or wheelchairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary restrictions and care plans.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in electronic records.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff and family members regarding patient needs.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Willingness to obtain CNA certification or complete state-mandated training.
- Strong sense of empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
- Basic computer literacy for entering patient data.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.
- Reliable transportation and availability for varying shifts.
