Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Living Activities: Help patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Mobility Support: Safely transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Observe and report changes in patient health status, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Meal Assistance: Serve and assist patients with eating, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
- Documentation: Accurately record patient information, care provided, and any changes in condition in electronic health records.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport with patients and their families, providing a comforting presence during their stay.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment in accordance with healthcare standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; CNA certification preferred but not mandatory for applicants willing to enroll in a training program.
- Compassion: Genuine passion for helping others and a patient-first mindset.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Teamwork: Willingness to collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
