Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Prepare and serve meals while adhering to dietary restrictions and nutritional needs.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition accurately in medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and emergency situations following facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas State CNA Certification (CNA 1 or CNA 2).
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Previous experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, or hospital settings preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for travel to different facilities if required).
