Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with medication administration and document any side effects or concerns immediately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment to prevent infection and promote patient comfort.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and changes in condition in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Respond to patient call lights and emergency situations promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas CNA License (or active LPN/RN license).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently throughout the shift.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach with a focus on quality care.
- Reliable transportation to and from the healthcare facility.
