Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist registered nurses and physicians with medical procedures and treatment plans.
- Transport patients safely to and from treatment areas or rooms.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Certification as a CNA or State Licensure (CNA I) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, assisted living, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
