Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse or Charge Nurse immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
- Ensure patient rooms and common areas are clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Transport patients to and from procedures or therapy sessions as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control guidelines strictly.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Washington State CNA license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients safely (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
