Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions, behavior, or status to the nursing staff and physicians promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Prepare and serve meals as directed, ensuring dietary restrictions are met.
Qualifications
- Current and active Washington State CNA certification required.
- Current CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an accredited provider.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and families.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Compassionate attitude with a deep commitment to patient dignity and respect.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift patients when necessary.
