Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, operating wheelchairs, stretchers, or other mobile equipment safely.
- Provide basic bedside care and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Change linens and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients.
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition, symptoms, or behavior to the nursing staff or supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Strong empathy and a genuine passion for patient care.
