Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status and changes in condition to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Mobility Support: Safely transfer and transport patients using wheelchairs, walkers, or hoyer lifts as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain patient charts, incident reports, and care plans.
- Hygiene: Ensure patients maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Assistance: Support patients with meal preparation and feeding as required.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid CNA or LPN license issued by the state of Florida.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or long-term care setting preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Strong empathy and ability to provide emotional support to patients and families.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict safety protocols.
