Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with patient mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate changes in a patient’s condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) or charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all infection control protocols.
- Document patient care plans, interventions, and progress notes in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
Qualifications
- Current and valid North Carolina CNA or LPN license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients and families.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Previous experience in a hospital, assisted living, or home health setting is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
