Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance, with a focus on dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and family members regarding patient status and care needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for all patients and staff at all times.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to ensure a high quality of care.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license valid in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a genuine passion for patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as required by state and federal regulations.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Experience in a long-term care or hospital setting is preferred but not always mandatory.
