Responsibilities
- Provide basic patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
- Document patient information accurately in medical records and electronic health systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Current CNA certification or eligibility to obtain certification (we offer training for eligible candidates).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects for extended periods.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn electronic health records (EHR).
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
