Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist nurses with medical procedures, wound care, and patient transfers using proper body mechanics.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team.
- Document patient progress and care activities in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA license in the state of Texas.
- CPR/BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to perform job duties standing for long periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is a plus.
