Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Monitor Patient Health: Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Administer Medications: Follow strict protocols to ensure the safe administration of prescribed medications and treatments as directed by RNs and LPNs.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and other staff members to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Document Patient Records: Maintain detailed and up-to-date clinical records and patient charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure Safety: Create a safe environment for patients by identifying potential hazards and responding promptly to emergencies.
Qualifications
- Certification: Valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of California.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility setting, preferably in a Night Shift role.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and transfer patients up to 250 lbs, and perform physical tasks as needed.
