Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by following infection control protocols and reporting hazards immediately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team regarding patient status and changes in condition.
- Administer medications as prescribed and document all treatments accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Texas (or equivalent certification).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; physical stamina to lift and assist patients as needed.
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a commitment to patient safety.
- Reliable and punctual attendance record.
