Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to reduce anxiety and promote mental well-being during the night.
- Prepare and serve meals according to prescribed dietary restrictions and patient preferences.
- Assist licensed nursing staff with medication administration and treatment procedures under direct supervision.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Document patient interactions and changes in condition in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the State of Georgia.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced night shift environment.
- Physical stamina to perform lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
