Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Care: Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor Health: Track vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with Mobility: Help patients move safely, including transferring to beds or wheelchairs and ambulation assistance.
- Administer Medication: Support medication administration under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Document Care: Maintain accurate and timely patient records and care logs.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid and active Maryland CNA Certification.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
