Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming).
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the RN or Physician.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and emergency situations within the scope of the CNA role.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all residents.
- Document patient care plans and progress notes in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and family members regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and active CNA License issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients frequently (up to 50 lbs).
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
