Responsibilities
- Provide direct personal care to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with ambulation and mobility to ensure patient safety and prevent falls.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and patients at all times.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications as directed by the registered nurse and according to facility protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license in the state of California.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or home health setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient transfers.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient dignity and respect.
