Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by registered nurses and physicians.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and assist with mobility and transfers.
- Collaborate effectively with the nursing staff to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
