Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes and needs to the Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary team.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure patient rooms and surroundings are clean, safe, and organized at all times.
- Assistance: Provide assistance with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and charts.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Virginia.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Shift Availability: Must be available to work full-time night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks.
