Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent skin breakdown and pressure ulcers.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Document all care provided and report any changes in patient status immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for residents and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, valid North Carolina CNA License.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
- Experience in long-term care or a hospital setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and effectively.
- Must be willing to work night shifts and weekends as needed.
