Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration)
- Provide basic patient care under supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Document patient observations and care provided in medical records
- Transport patients safely within the facility using proper equipment
- Maintain clean and sanitized patient environments
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior healthcare experience necessary
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate nature
- Basic computer literacy for documentation tasks
- Must complete state-approved CNA training program (provided)
- Valid Texas Driver's License preferred for facility transport duties
